A Little Bit of History
The Burbank Nature Journal club was initially formed in Feb 2020. Due to the covid-19 shutdown, the club was in limbo between March 2020-May 2022, never having had a chance to actually get going. ðĒ
As LA County covid restrictions eased, Burbank Nature Journal Club organized in-person outdoor meetups that began in May 2022. ð
Several meetups took place in 2022. ð
The facilitators had to prioritize personal issues in 2023, and the group returned to limbo. ð
In 2023, efforts to more formally partner with Burbank Parks and Recreation, Stough Canyon Nature Center stalled due to parameters beyond our control. ð
March 2, 2024, we decided to change the name of the club to Shadow Hills Nature Journal Club, as alternative community connections were underway. ð
