* RAIN IS FORECAST Tues AM. We will meet INSIDE the Stone Barn and sketch the taxidermy animals.

* Technical difficulties to RSVP on the website. The link is not working (as of 10/11), just show up and complete waiver forms in person.

*Not working: RSVP w/ Glendale Trails and Open Space Program to attend, find "Nature Journaling" under "Events" in the right column.

Major Milestone: >10,000 views

Today, Sept 30, 2025, Shadow Hills Nature Journal Club's website hit a major milestone, >10,000 views.

This website launched in Feb 2020. I know it's blogger "style" is outdated, but it's been around a while. I have plans for a complete revamp, everything takes time.

Nature Observation: Nature Journal Writing and Drawing Workshop

City of Glendale did not get the online registration up, and did not promote this workshop with sufficient time for people to RSVP.  PLEASE EMAIL TERRI, ShadowHillsNJC@gmail.com, if you intend on attending, there is no official way to RSVP online, as of Sept 20.

We aim for meetups to be accessible; please do attend and "pay it forward" with an act of kindness to others. Homeschool

Fall 2025 Homeschool Fieldtrips

My grandkids are switching to homeschool for the 2025-26 school year and I will participate in their education. I am considering offering nature journaling fieldtrips to connect homeschool kids and parents in the East San Fernando Valley and West San Gabriel Valley. Eaton Canyon 1st Thurs 2025 Meetups - CANCELLED

Due to the Eaton Fire on 1/7, the Eaton Canyon Nature Center was completely lost, as well as hundreds of homes.

Investigating other possible locations to provide a place to observe nature as a way to help heal from these devastating loses.
