  • Inclement Weather (🌧️ Rain, πŸŒ‘️ HEAT) does NOT cancel. When the weather is not cooperative, we will meet INSIDE and observe Nature Center displays for inspiration.

  • Didn't pre-register? Pre-RSVP RECOMMENDED. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Walk-ins are only accepted IF spots are still available. Arrive early to signup with Nature Center staff.
  • 9:30am, meet in classroom area for a group discussion, before finding finding your outside journaling spot.
  • We understand traffic delays happen. Group discussion starts ~9:30am till ~9:45am. If you arrive later, find a quiet spot to observe and record in your journal.
  • It's easy to lose track of time when filling your journal with observations; set your cell phone alarm πŸ”” to 11:00am to alert you to collect your items and rejoin the group. 
  • Group reconvenes at ~11:05-11:10am in the classroom area to share observations and journal pages. This is the really fun part, don't miss it! πŸ₯°  
  • πŸ“– What should I journal about? What will I see? You can focus on anything that you find of interest. Need a little inspiration nudge? Handout of journaling prompts and ideas here.
  • All levels of nature journaling experience welcome! Newbies will find encouragement and inspiration from others. Those with more experience can share their ideas and insight. πŸ’‘ We all learn from each other!
