Safety First
We meet in public spaces, unmonitored parking lots, trailheads, etc. For most locations we will not be near the parking lot, unable to monitor your vehicle 100%. PLEASE leave all valuables at home, only bring what you need (DL, cash, keys, cell phone--and keep them with you). DO NOT leave any valuables in your vehicle--not even under the seat--ever!
Unfortunately, unattended parking lots have become targets for crime. Please do not leave yourself vulnerable to theft.
Cellphone coverage
Certain meet locations might have spotty or bad cellphone reception. We will do our best to include such notes in the meetup details. Please take note when making RSVP responses to the details listed about each meetup location.
Restrooms
The Meetup RSVP will provide a summary of the facilities that are available either nearby, at the parking lot, and general restroom description (flush toilet, outhouse, etc.) what to expect for restrooms. Not all locations have restrooms.
Come Prepared / Plan Ahead
Consider weather conditions for the day. Bring water. Dress in layers. Hats! Sunglasses. Sunscreen.
Location info for the meet-up will include:
- If you should bring a chair. If the meeting location has picnic tables, etc.
- How much walking to expect. Some locations will require short hikes. Some are short walks from parking lot to meetup spot.
Did you say "Lunch?"
Most events butt up or go into the lunch hour. Please DO bring a water, lunch, snacks, etc. as appropriate.
How will you find us at the meetup location?
Meetup location info will be as specific as possible. Please plan to arrive a bit early if you are not familiar with the meetup location, parking, etc. We'll ask on the RSVP form for your cell phone, and you will be given cell info of one or both of the event organizers.
